Keep it chilled
Up to 5 daysThis one's finished with frosting, filling or ganache, so keep it refrigerated in an airtight container — not on the bench. It stays lovely for up to 5 days.
Before you eat
~15 minFor the best texture, let it sit out of the fridge for about 15 minutes to take the chill off — or enjoy it cold if that's your thing. Skip the microwave; it melts the topping.
Freezer
Up to 1 monthFreezes well — wrap it individually and it keeps for up to a month. Thaw in the fridge overnight (never on the bench) so the topping stays set.
Why chilled? The cream cheese, buttercream and ganache we top these with need to stay cold to hold their texture — so treat it like a little cheesecake and keep it in the fridge.
